마음의 평정을 위한 기도

하나님, 마음의 평정을 허락하소서

변화시킬 수 없다면 그것을 받아들이게 하소서

God, grant me the Serenity

to accept the things I cannot change

능력이 있다면 

그것을 변화시킬 수 있는 용기를 주소서

그리고 그 차이를 구별할 수 있는 지혜를 주소서 

the things I can, 

Courage to change the things I can,

and the Wisdom to know the difference 

오늘이 나에게 주어진 마지막 날인 것처럼

매 순간 행복하고 즐겁게 살아가게 하소서

좁은 길이 평화로 인도하오니 고난의 길도 받아들이게 하소서

Living one day at a time, 

Enjoying one moment at a time,

Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace 

주님의 모습을 본받아

죄많은 이 세상을 변화시키려 하기 보다 있는 그대로 받아들이게 하소서

Taking, as He did,

this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it

주님의 뜻에 순종하기만 하면

주님께서는 모든 것을

올바른 길로 인도하신다는 사실을 신뢰하게 하소서

Trusting that He will make

all things right

if I surrender to His Will

이 세상을 살아가는 동안

자족하며 즐거워하고 

다음 세상에서 주님과 함께

최고의 행복을 영원히 누리게 하소서. 아멘

That I may be reasonably happy

in this life,

and supremely happy with Him forever

in the next. Amen
