J: Right, a person will stay true to their nature. They are who they are and cannot change.

A: Even so, change doesn’t happen overnight.

여기서 pick up 물건을 집을 때도 pick up이라고 하고, 어떤 중단했던 이야기나 일을 다시 할 때도 pick up한다고 말 할 수 있습니다. 데이빗이 아직 당신과 방을 같이 쓰는 roommate인가요?

Is David still your roommate?

John의 대답은 데이빗이 너무 지저분에서 나가라고 했다가 앞으로는 청소를 잘 하겠다고 해서, 다시 살게 했는데, 그 약속이 오래가지 못했습니다.

He soon fell back into his old ways.

그는 곧 다시 옛날의 데이빗으로 돌아왔습니다.

제가 타고난 천성은 바꿀 수 없다고 말했습니다.
